At Rustic Ragdolls by Jess, we are passionate about raising healthy, happy Ragdoll kittens. Jessica, our founder, and her sister Katie, executive director, work together to create a loving and nurturing environment. Our home in Myrtle Beach, SC, is shared with three playful dogs—Willow, Finn, and Luke. Each kitten is nurtured with care and socialized from day one, making them the perfect addition to any family.

  • Ragdoll kittens are known for their gentle and affectionate nature. They are often described as "puppy-like" because they enjoy following their owners around and being involved in family activities. Their striking blue eyes and silky, semi-long fur add to their charm.

  • Yes, Ragdoll kittens are typically very friendly and get along well with children and other pets. Their calm and tolerant temperament makes them a great addition to any household.

  • Ragdoll kittens have a semi-long coat that requires regular brushing, at least twice a week, to prevent matting and reduce shedding. They generally enjoy grooming sessions, which can also be a bonding experience.

  • To adopt a Ragdoll kitten, please fill out our contact form available on our website. Once we review, we will contact you to discuss the next steps and arrange a visit to meet the kittens.

  • The adoption fee includes the cost of initial vaccinations, deworming, a veterinary health check, and care instructions. It also helps cover the costs of breeding and caring for the kittens.

  • Yes, we encourage potential adopters to visit the kittens and meet their parents. This helps ensure that you find the perfect match for your family and allows you to see the environment in which the kittens are raised.

Adoption and Return Policies

Application Process

  • Potential adopters must complete an adoption application form to provide information about their household, pet experience, and preferences

  • Applications are reviewed to ensure a good match between the adopter and the kitten. Approved applicants will be contacted to discuss the next steps

Initial Return Policy

  • If an adopter is dissatisfied within 72 hours of bringing the kitten home, they may return the kitten for a full refund, provided the kitten is returned in good health. Deposits are non-refundable

Reservation and Deposit

  • Once approved, adopters can reserve a
    kitten by placing a non-refundable deposit. This deposit will be applied to the total
    adoption fee.

  • A $300 non-refundable deposit is required
    to reserve a kitten

Rehoming

  • If an adopter can no longer care for the kitten at any point, they must contact the breeder first. The breeder will either take the kitten back or assist in finding a new home

  • The kitten must not be sold, traded, or given away to any pet shop, laboratory, or euthanasia-practicing facility

Adoption Fee

  • The adoption fee includes the cost of initial vaccinations, deworming, a veterinary health check, and a starter kit with food and care instructions.

  • The remaining balance must be paid in full at pick up

Other

  • All kittens will be spayed or neutered by the time they are 6 months old, unless breeding rights have been agreed to

  • Declawing is not permitted and adopters must agree to not declaw their kittens

  • Ragdoll kittens must be kept as indoor-only pets to ensure their safety and well-being
